The Englander Compromise of 2022

This short video is a street-level experience mapping the relocation of a Victorian house six blocks to its new location on Fulton Street in San Francisco in early 2022. The film demonstrates the on-going struggle between two desires in our city:

— the desire to build more housing, and
— the desire to preserve the Victorian architecture from being demolished to make way for new housing.
